A building permit must be obtained prior to the start of any construction.
Please call and make an appointment a few days prior to applying for any permit from the Winnipeg River Planning District.
Building Permits are required for construction, placement, renovation, demolition, relocation, or addition to any building regardless of size (this includes replacement of decks!). Rules and regulations regarding building are dependent upon the zoning of the area. To establish your zone, contact the office by phone or email (above). Bird River Lift Order

The Municipality has been advised that the imminent risk of danger to life and properties in your area has diminished at this time.
The Lifting of the Evacuation Order is therefore lifted for the area west of the intersection of PR 313 and PR 315 only. This includes Miller Road, Lakeshore Bay, Paradise Lane, Pinawa Place, Woodland Drive, Cedarwood Road, Strong Road, Tuokko Drive, Keystone Heights, Second Street and First Street. (see attached map)
To be allowed to return, residents must be registered with the RM of Alexander Connect System and are on a 2-hour evacuation notice if required.
