Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station
Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Alexander are pleased to announce that an Electrical Vehicle Charging Station has been installed at the Municipal Office located at 1 Bouvier Trail in St. Georges.
The unit is a single port CT4000 7.2kW (240V AC @ 30A) Level 2 Charging station that is now fully operational. The station is available at no cost to the public, however in order to access it, users must have an account with ChargePoint and use either a customer card or mobile app.
The Municipality of Alexander is proud to have partnered with National Resources Canada and Eco-West Canada with partial funding made possible through the Zero Emissions Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP). Alexander thanks Eco-West Canada on their leadership role in implementing this project. The initiative furthers the commitment that the Municipality of Alexander has as part of our Green House Gas Emission Reduction Strategy and our Climate Change Local Action Plan as well our participation in the Partners for Climate Protection Program through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
Council remains committed to position itself as a community leader in the area of climate change action and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in order to help navigate the potential long-term impacts of climate change.
