Bird River Fire
Bird River Fire Update - May 15, 2025 - 7:45 pm
● The Bird River fire is massive and very intense. MB Firefighters, water bombers and helicopters are working hard to battle the fire. ● The fire is at the edge of PR 315 just south of the Bird River Bridge. ● The wind is making things difficult. ● At this point, no structures have been lost and they are doing what they can to add protection to structures. The Bible Camp has not burned and they are adding value protection. ● The status is not likely to change until the weather changes. We need a lot of rain. Fire depts are also responding. MB Wildfire service is battling the fire. There are crews and water bombers – Office of the Fire Commissioner and staff have added value protection – a substantial amount of rain will help suppress the fire. ● Everything that can be done, is being done. Please do not attempt to enter the evacuation zone.
Please do not use any drones in this area as they are hazardous to the water bombers.
